Kansas Prairie

I am a Kansas Prairie transplant.  The big open skies are a novelty to me, having grown up in a land of bountiful rolling hills (Dutchess County, New York).

My husband loves the wide open prairies and finds it relaxing to run, even up to 100-miles at a time, through the grasslands.

I have even learned how to camp on the prairies.  The trick is to set your tent as close as possible to whatever trees may be found.  The second trick is to use lots of stakes.  Sleeping in a tent with whipping 40 mile per hour winds builds pioneer character.  (I hope.)

Big rainbows are just one advantage of big sky living!
